Who Are We
Southern Tribes Waiwhakaiho has partnered with Buddies Over Bullies, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a more compassionate and supportive community free of bullying. In today’s world, bullying has taken on new forms through the digital landscape and social media. Cyberbullying, trolling, fake accounts, and recording attacks on vulnerable individuals have escalated the issue to an all-time high. At Buddies Over Bullies, we’re committed to putting an end to these harmful behaviors and creating a safer, more inclusive society.
What We Do
Buddies over Bullies journey began when Tom Deblass and Shawn Fowler recognized the crucial need for effective non-profit work that aims at providing practical solutions for individuals facing bullying and its challenges. At Buddies over Bullies, the mission is clear: we’re dedicated to making a meaningful and lasting difference in our community. We believe in empowerment through education, teaching kids how to respond when faced with bullying and how to reach out for help.
How we make a difference:
1. Support System – We become your allies in the fight against bullying. Our team of skilled coaches offer a strong support network for individuals facing bullying, their families, and the community at large.
2. Education and Awareness: At Southern Tribes Waiwhakaiho we strongly believe knowledge is power. We conduct workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate people about the impact of bullying and ways to prevent it.
3. Community Engagement: We believe in the strength of unity. By involving the community, we aim to create a collective effort that truly transforms lives. Our Scholarship Program offers accessibility for all financial backgrounds.
